1. Students should make an effort to bring their laptop to the exam fully charged.  Or if they cannot, they should bring their laptop charger with them. 
  2. Students should restart their laptop prior to starting the exam.  This will clear out unnecessary programs.
  3. Students should check for Windows Updates on their computer.  Pending Windows updates can dramatically affect their computers performance during the exam.  Students can see if they have Windows updates pending by looking for this symbol on their taskbar.  If their computer has Windows updates pending then they should go to the Start menu and select Update and Restart

4. Finally during the exam students should only have open the web browser that they are using for the ICAS exam.  Please encourage them to close games, Spotify and anything else that they don’t need for the exam.
